The Earth and its Movements
The Earth is the third planet from the Sun. Like other planets in the solar system, the Earth moves in two different ways: one is called rotation, which is the movement of the Earth on its own axis, and the other movement is called revolution which is the movement of the Earth going around the Sun.
During this Happy Learning educational video dedicated to children in both preschool and primary, we will learn that the rotation movement of the Earth is when the Earth spins around itself and that it takes 24hrs to complete one rotation and this gives us our days and nights.
In regards to the revolution movement, the Earth forms an elliptical orbit around the sun taking 365 days to do so, which is a year and this movement gives us the seasons. These are the Earth’s two movements; rotation and revolution.
Happy Learning, education through entertainment.
