There are various common characteristics such as having thin, naked skin. The majority have four legs and a membrane in-between their toes which allows them to move with ease in water.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They are oviparous, but they don\u2019t incubate their eggs after laying them, but rather abandon them, leaving them to care for themselves. Amphibians are born as small larvae and start of living in water. Bit by bit their bodies go through a process called metamorphosis, causing their bodies to change and when they are adults they then look like their parents.
